How I know this a scam and a fraud: First off, I am an attorney and I specialize in Criminal Law. I got this call on my private office line separate from my phone system and that only a few people know as it is hotline to my office. I was thinking "hmmm..let me see what this is all about so I pressed 1 and waited" A lady by the name of Karen answered and I asked why she was calling and she stated "Is this John Doe" and I said "I believe it is" and she said "I am calling to inform you I received a fax order as there is fraudulent activity on your checking account, can I have the last four digits of your social security number please" and I said "No you may not and under the FCRA regulations you must send me a letter to my place of residence within five business days" and she yelled and said "Fine I will just send the summons to you" and I said "Very Well Madam, I am an attorney and I will be sure as soon as I receive it to file an immediate motion to dismiss it". She then said "Good bye" and hung up. I called back 360.787.9019 and again waited for her to get on the line and she sighed and hung up again. I decided when I had time throughout the day to keep on calling her back and each time she saw the caller ID she sighed and then hung up. SHE IS A FRAUD !!! No legitimate debt collector would ever do this. Do you get fooled people, REMEMBER whoever is collecting money from you has to send you a letter via the United States Postal Service. The can NOT demand payment via email. The sooner Americans stop believing anyone that calls them that they owe money, the faster these people will go away. Be Prepared Folks! Also, I did a legal search on Bronson and Assoc and only one legit company appears - It's a Law Firm in California and I was able to verify that Karen Moon does not work there nor is she is any way affiliated with company and since they are now aware of this, they said they are seriously looking into this.
