This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating illegal telemarketing calls in violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

I just received this call for the first time. We never answer calls from numbers we don't recognize. I live on the East Coast!

I too live on east coast and just right now got a call from this number. Do not answer calls from unknown numbers either.  Go and check out this number in the 714 area code.  714 429 4444. Read all the people's reply. 3 pages.  People have been writing about this number for six months.  Go figure.... Yesterday I spoke with the California state attorney general's office. He wishes someone would start a non- profit small group to try to stop this phone scamming.

Just another illegal scam.  They offer an option to opt out by entering your number,,dont do it best not to answer any number you dont recognize.  Keep a list of them, have some fun and block your number with *67  then enter one of the scam numbers, they will be calling each other.  This number will tell you to unblock your number, so just add it to your list and enter it when one of the idiots accepts blocked numbers with an option to opt out of future calls.  No call list?,, file complaints to fcc ftc forget it nothing gets done.  All these people want is personal information and the computer doesnt get tired.  Try a scam blocker.
