Chris Jones (no way due to accent) called talking Fraud, Federal charges for Payday loan of between $300-$400 with charges $530 due made in March 2011. He called several times April 7.Caller: Law Firm ?

I've receiving calls from a short code # 526-140-49 claiming to be from the cyber crime unit advised the not to call me anymore if I had legal issue local law enforcement would have notified me. He called back left the 360-526-0402 # for me return all call to. I work for a major wireless phone company this is what we call spoofing or phishing where someone is using a fake # to call you on and obtain personal information. I also received a phone call from them today saying the same thing. did you actually take a payday loan?

I received a similar call from this number regarding an unpaid Payday loan for $350.00.
The message was left by Melvin Samuels, threatening all the same accusations as above.
When I called back I was told I needed to speak to Chris Jones.  A person claiming to be Chris Jones came on and threatened  fraud, federal prosecution and incarceration for an unpaid loan from Payday loans.  He refused to give the loan company name only stating he represented Payday Loans which is an umbrella for 3000  loan companies.  He also refused to give date of deposit, law firm name etc etc.
I did a reverse lookup of the number and could only find it was from Whatcom County Washington.  
I cannot find an attorney listed under the name Chris/Christopher Jones in Washington State.
I am going to use Jackie's advice above and report the number.

Just received two back to back calls from this number! stated the same thing regarding. Scary thing is that they qouted last 4 digits of SSN! I am so sick of scammers, like we don't have enough on our plate without having to do with these losers.
