Something about a government grant heavy Indian accent. Any time there's a accent I think it's a scam

Some guy wanted me to accept a government grant of some type.  I told him I wasn't interested.  He then asked me if I owned an apartment and I told him it wasn't any of his business.  He said, if you own an apartment, go out to the terrace and jump!  He then hung up on me.  Same thick Indian accent as what Dan mentioned in his report.  Seriously?

I got the same call talking about a government grant...he said i was approved and wanted me to pay 3 dollars with a visa or Mastercard and they would email me a password and conformation number.....i was like i don't remember applying for that.... heavy Indian accent...thanks for everyone's comments now i think it was a scam

I got the a call from this number. The man on the phone had a thick Indian accent saying that my application for the grant was approved. I said I didn't recall applying for a grant and he said it was 3 months ago. He said that being a grant it does not need to be repaid and asked if I wanted it direct deposit or a check by mail and said I would need to pay the small fee of $3 via VISA or Mastercard. I told him that I was working and wasn't near my wallet and would like him to send an email. He became very pushy telling me to get my wallet. I told him that I was busy and couldn't take the time right now. He said "it's 5:00, it will only take 2 minutes... should I call you back at 6:00 or 6:15" I said that I wouldn't be until much later tonight. He just said "I can't help you" and hung up. Block this number if you get a call.
