On the "Do Not Call" list...please stop calling!

These calls are coming from call centers in Costa Rica. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party).

Here is a list of spoofed numbers that you can add to your call blocking lists. These are the usual "lower your credit card interest rate" calls and I know that the list is accurate since every one of them has called me:

I haven't received that many calls about lowering the interest rate in my credit card!!!

The moment I heard the caller say her name was Rachel, I hung up.  I recall reading a message thread elsewhere on this website about this mysterious person, whose voice has graced thousands of scam messages.

Best advice...never give out any personal information to people making cold calls. Only provide personal information if you initiated the call and are certain the company is legitimate.

HA,HA,HA,HA.......  Yeah, got 1 of those and another dozen of my own.  That Rachel sure is one persistent [***]!!!!!!!!!  I always press 1 just so I can tell them to F*** OFF!!!!!!
