Received two text messages saying that my "MasterCard has been blocked!  Please have card in hand and call security staff at 360-234-2053. Thanks."
I don't have a MasterCard. I tried calling them and got a busy signal.

Got a text message from a (likely spoofed) e-mail account (jiVjfsxrQpFS3Mz@mastercard.com) on a government-issued cell phone stating:

Got a text on two different cell phones from this number. We don't own a mastercard. Pure scam. Bottom line is if you get a call from someone you don't know, more than likely it's a scam.

Got call too. Talked with MC and they were useless. Oh well guess it is up to the consumer to protect themselves.
