They were telling me I could get a 9,000 dollar grant and never have to pay it back

The person who called me stated that I qualify for a Federal Grant.  He told me to call this phone number.  I told him that I did not want to call because I would have to pay for the long distance charge.  He hung up.  He had a heavy accent which sounded hispanic so I could not really understand him.  Are these people real?  I have heard about scams like this and that I should not accept any offer of this type.  HELP!!

The same people called me stateing the same thing. What they don't know I have family in the lawforse.

I received call to call this number and give then a id code for 9000 grant I told the caller I did not believe him this was a scam
