i got a message on my answer machine and they said it was the IRS. They said to call them back because I was in trouble with the IRS

answered the phone and a recroding came on stating I was being sued by the IRS..............NO the IRS does not call and leave such messages. It's some sort of scammer. I called the number back and they didn't even answer the phone.

Got a phone call from 3602004671 message was that I was being sued by the IRS and that it was important to return the call.

A message was left on voice mail indicating the same as previous people noted, I'm being sued by the IRS. Just another overseas scam.

My wife got the same IRS call on Friday, offered a case number, a badge number and an opportunity to pay at the court house or by check. Then went on to say that the Sheriffs Office was coming to arrest my wife for back taxes if she did not pay immediately. The accent was East Indian, sad thing is some poor folks get sucked in by this crap!

My daughter received a call from this number leaving her the message that she owed taxes and would be arrested. She returned the call and then was told that her mother owed taxes and would be arrested. She told him that it was ridiculous and hung up.
