I. R. S. Scam

I received a call from this number today.  It was the same recording as I received yesterday from another number.  This is a scam claiming that the IRS is going tohave the "cops" pick you up if you don't call him right away within 24 hours.

Similar call. Said that they sent me a letter on April 20th about taxes due. They did have my home address. He said his name was Smit Martin. His IRS address was 77 K street, Washington DC 20002. He said that they were in the process of filing a law suit against me. I asked for his phone number (347-979-9320) and said I would call back because I was in a meeting.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got a call from this number as well.  IRS impersonation scam.  Filed a report with the FTC yesterday and filed a harassing phone call report with my local police today.  He's now called the house 4 times.  Says we're going into custody in 24 hours.  We told him we're not buying it.  I knew right away it was false considering his VERY broken English.  I told him I didn't believe he was from the IRS and he told me that if I didn't believe it, "go to hell, [***]".  Nice.  I tried to go to the tigta.gov site but my virus software says it's phishing.
