Of course the call comes through, your number was dialed by these scum.  Are you really so ignorant of how the DNC list works to believe that it blocks numbers from calling you?  Telemarketers selling good or services or qualifying sales leads for others are required to register for access to the DNC list then pay a fee to obtain it.  They then are required to not call any numbers found on the list. If they don't use the list because they are scammers or scofflaws, the calls will get through, as will calls from those not required to use the list.

Robocall,  "It's Julie with a $100.00 gift card"  Maybe from Queens,  could be spoofed caller ID.  Time to hack them back using a spoofed caller ID,  see what they are and what information they want.  See if we can get a street address from them,  then finish them off.

My phone rang once, as you say it is annoying to know some idiot is selecting phone numbers at random just to say they rang a certain amount of calls - but didn't talk to anyone, waste of time and non-existent brain matter.
