received text saying that i won a 1000.00 gift card from best buy

Agressive caller trying to talk about an MLM business. Claimed I had requested info and left my number on a website, which I did not

While I don't know if this will be helpful given the government shutdown, MLM'ers are required to abide by the Do Not Call list, the same as any business. If your name is on the DNC list, you can report it by going to http://www.donotcall.gov and http://www.ftc.gov . But....you may have to wait until the shutdown ends to do so.

1-347-871-6206; yep, got two calls this morning.....some a guy who has poor grammar--sounded like he was from the gangster side of town.  and tried to get me to say "yes" somehow. He called before 8:00 a.m. too. and called twice in a row--he garbled the "company's name" he was "calling from" --so i stopped him, and said who are you? Don't you "remember" calling us--"rehab something" So, I said....why would I be calling any kind of Rehab business.....he didn't have an answer but studdered a lot--I hung up. Now, I NEED to call my phone company and make sure I don't get a $$$ sign up for some kind of crap on my phone etc.

They called, left a message - here is the Transcript.

"I I think I missed the beep. I'm not sure if this is gonna be recorded or not well anyway this is Craig Ward from an LM rehab .com. And you came to my website recently looking for help with your business and I'm calling you back to let you know that you have won a free business roof consultation where I'm gonna show you step by step how to begin adding twenty to thirty people per week consistently into your network marketing business. Now I get over to thousand people every single month to request help. And I have my system. Randomly select seven winners every single week because I just don't have enough time to get back to everybody and you just so happen to be one of this weeks lucky seven. But you only have twenty four hours from the time of this message to call us back and redeem your winnings. Otherwise my system is gonna replace your name with somebody else on the list. So grab a pen really quick and write down my California telephone number it's area code 9512621181. Again nine five one."

Not sure what time of scam they are running ... to bad we can't clog his phone line to stop the calls from going out.
