I also received a call from this number. Did yours happen to be claiming to be the IRS? I've been trying to look up information about this number but I can't find any.

I received a call as well claiming to be the IRS.  I believe that it is a scam.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

i also received the phone call from this number on 10:01 & 11:41 this morning.. But i missed both calls.  I returned the phone call to this number, it said it was from IRS investigating.  I believed that was a scam.  So, i just talked as they wanted.  finally, the person sighed and gave up on me.
