Received the following text message spam/scam on my cellphone:

"If you would like to receive up to 20 Percent off your Gas & Electric bills, + $50 off your June, July & August Gas bill."Reply Yes" This is a Free Service!"

If you would like to received up to 20 percent off your Gas & Electric bills, + 50 off your June, July and August Gas bill. "Reply Yes" This is a Free Service!  I want know is how they got my cell number!!!!!

I too got the same message yesterday but from #347-272-4648.  Obviously whoever this is they have numerous call numbers.  This is the 3rd # I've seen with same text.  Since I don't have text on my service with Verizon, I'm paying for a sales pitch.  I've blocked the number, but now that they are using multiple numbers, I may have to block all text messaging.  I too want to know how they got my cell????????

I received this same message on my Google-Voice number. I use it as a buffer, but I too want to know how in the world they got my rarely used GV number.

I recevied the following text from 347-738-8652 "It's Free to Save! If you would like to receive up to 15 Percent discount off your Gas & Electric bills? Reply "LOWER" Reply "STOP" to opt out

I replied with "Stop"

then I got another text "Sorry for the inconvenience! You have been opted out"
