Here's some fun reading on the FTC actions against phony tech support telemarketers from the past twelve months. Gosh, but there's an awful lot of Indian names and companies in that mix of defendants.
What do we keep saying here, kids? Take your flaky machines to an honest tech you can meet in the same room. If you want help by phone, it should be a call the customer initiates to a genuine and trusted company and not some goons an ocean away who spam the internet and blast illegal sales calls.
