i got a call from this number, threatening arrest. good to know its a scam. I called it back, no answer.

Same deal with me. First they called from 8663387677 and now from this number 3475590378. Guy calls himself Sean Stiffler with an Indian accent and he states he is from Tax Audit department of IRS. Same story as all other posts -- threatens arrest etc. They are using an auto-dialer and just calling all numbers hoping somebody will fall for it. IRS never calls - initial contact is by mail. Also, for arrest, it is not that simple. Due Process anyone. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Do not answer and let it go to voicemail.

I got a all today from this number 1347-559-0378. This is the third time in one week they have called. They intially called from another number claiming that I am under investigation by IRS and the police has a warrant for my arrest me because of alleged tax invasion and because I supposedly sent money outside of country. They did not even know that I am a US citizen. IRS never calls and does not harrass you by phone and you can get a lawyer eevn if you owe back ta xes. This country has laws. The man who called had an Indian or Pakistani accent and spoke broken English. He claimed that he was an IRS chief investigator. He also told me that the department of Home land security is investigating me. I looked up the number online and found it to be a scam and hung up. He said that that IRS has ceased all my assets and that I have to give him $1780  not to send the police to come and arrest me!!! What an amazingly devious and crazy person. I blocked his  number. Please post your exprience so that it can protect other unsuspecting people. I filed a police report and also reported the incident to IRS by my accountant.
