Call came into a friend of mines number and this is definitely a scam of some sort. Do not answer calls from this number.

this phone call is a scam. A man with a heavy indian accent has been calling me saying that I owe him money from a payday loan. He claimed his name was ED Lawrence.  I asked him from where and what he was talking about...and he gave me no information.  He just kept saying I owe 1,000 and i will go to jail without bail, if I didnt pay now.  He told me to give him the entire amount over the phone or he will call the sheriff dept and hand cuff me to jail.
I gave him no information and hung up.  I was worried because he did have alot of my personal info. Like my name, last four of my social, bank name and job info.  I googled this number and other numbers and there have been other victims from these people.
Do not give any information and hang up or report them. Dont give them your money.

DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!!  SCAM!!!  I answered the call and started yelling at them and they kept saying that I was going to jail.  Something about a payday loan.  I told him that I was going to hunt him down since I had his name and address.  I told him to come and get me and we would see who won that fight.  He has not called lately.

Yes I received the exact same phone call from them saying that I would go to jail wouldn't say for what but said that he was going to "f" me and my mother that I was just an old black lady  which I am not the he said that Osma is the president that's why our twin towers were "f"'ed up. He went on and on about for about 5-10 about the same thing. Rather annoying these people. They should really get something better to do. Don't give them anything or even let them think that they are annoying or scaring you in any way or better yet don't even answer the call!

I just received the same call as all of you did and it was rather frightening how much information that they about me, but I just stayed calm and kept prodding for more information.  When I asked about where he was located, he told me "all around the world"...WTF does that mean.   He was very pushy, aggressive, and rude saying that I had criminal charges against my SS# and that I was going to jail for sure because they were so severe.  He said he was going to have a sherriff sent to my place of work or home if I didn't pay them 1,133.  Give me a break...even debt collectors aren't that rude and pushy.  Guy needs to realize that he's a dick and to get a life.
