Someone called and claimed that they received reports that my computer was hacked and that they want me to check my ID. He wanted me to see if my ID matched his record so that he could verify if it was my computer that was reporting the error. I asked him what my ID was and he gave me a long list of numbers and letters.

He claimed to represent DNS of Canada and said that they were hired by the Canadian government to investigate these problems. The phone number given was the same as above 1-347-329-4400 and he said that they were located in Brampton, Ontario. I did a *9 and the number is actually 813-384-0488 which according to Google search is a telemarketing company in Florida.

Please don't give them any information.

I too recieved a call from someone pretending to be from DNS of canada..he had an indian voice, and asked me to to the CMS (forget now) prmot, then type "assoc" this was so i could confirm a number with him that he knew (suprisingly).

I talked to him up to that point...he told be to click on semantics infotec website, and wanted me to connect to a tech...I almost did it like an idiot, clicked the first link, then before I gave him access...I closed my screan...something in his indian voice turned me off...

im glad I further searched this, and realied it really was a scam, and my computer wassent really being hacked..
