got a call, said they were from the IRS.  said they were going to sue me. gave me a case number.  I don't think the IRS calls people for this.  I would think they would send you a certified letter.  Please advise.

Just got a call on my cellphone that went thru to voicemail from this same number...of course it is the IRS /s   I did do the *67 and tried calling back, but there was no answer. As usual, another scam, but not with MY money!

Got the same call yesterday I was screamed at saying I had a federal warrant out for my arrest and my bank account and license would be taken. They said It was form my personal taxes being filed wrong from 2008-2011 and I owed $3248. I have no idea how the IRS would let me go all these years and never send me a letter. Which I told by these two people that they sent me countless letters and they than told me my address. I have been in touch with the IRS and I owe no money. I was told the IRS would never call you first and would never ask for money upfront or threaten your license.
