I received a call asking if I had a computer on in the house and that there was a problem from this home.  He wanted to talk me through correcting the problem.  I asked for his number and name.  His accent showed that he was Indian I believe. I refused to do anything and here I am hopefully reporting this.  He went by the name of Mike.

I just received the same call. Paul , with a heavy accent said that he was calling from windows security department and said I had a virus and he would walk me through  to fix it myself, free of charge. Very suspicious... Of course I did not allow him access to my computer nor did I follow his instructions.

Tell then you have a Mac, or Ubuntu, and see what they say. :) then hang up.

This one of many bogus operations pretending to be Microsoft and or tech support. For the most part I would say to ignore these calls. But if you really want to throw them for a loop, tell them you use OStrich as your operating system.

Just received call from someone named Bernie who has a accent that sounds from India. Mr said my computer sending errors to Microsoft and warnings and to go too my computer and he will tell me how to correct. His office number is 347-305-2015. I would cooperatè and he said would cut my Microsoft off. I hung up.
