I just got a call yesterday from "Morgan" at Red Hot ID Solutions.  He had a heavy accent, so it was difficult for me to understand him - he said it was due to a bad connection.  He got irate when I explained that I had trouble understanding him - he was almost yelling in to the phone that he was endorsed by Microsoft or something and they'd gotten a report about errors on my computer -- he was trying to scare me and said he'd show me on my computer all of the errors.  He kept saying that I was on the computer and I kept saying that I wasn't.  I finally asked for his name and # to call him back and he gave it - Morgan at 1-347-305-0007.  He kept being loud, so I finally told him that I was done talking to him.  **This is a huge scam.** I just googled the phone number and it belongs in New York.  I am in Minnesota.

just received a call, caller id said private, they said that they had been receiving error reports from my computer, that they were from microsoft and that they wanted to help me fix it.  "victor",,,, sounded like victor was from india or maybe pakistan, gave me this number when i told him that i would have to call him back.  he asked me to bring up the run comand on my computer and then gave me a command to input into the run box,,,, all i did was listen but told him that i was doing writng,,,, like i said i told him  i would have to call him back and i put the number he gave me into google,,, it brought me here.  hopefully my computer won't crash permanently, but if it does,,, i will start using my mac.  good luck to y'all.  i think that all of our computers have multiple errors on them in this day and age.  i always say when i get a new one that i am not gonna download or use anything that i am not totally vetted on,,,, but i never follow thru.  well,,, i m outa heeah

Beware of Ron - a heavily accented man that will give you a spiel about your computer having errors, out of the blue, and not able to prove that you're the problem.  HE is.  I have a Mac, not a PC, in the first place.  This is a SCAM.   Look what comes up when you type in 'www.apple.comuf.com'.  It's a very official looking site that will suck the life out of your laptop if you give in.

High pressure tactics, too.  I explained I have a Mac, and he wouldn't let up trying to convince me that my computer had errors.  Don't fall for it.

Absolutely RUDE and hard selling, condescending sales person telling me something is wrong with my computer.  We do not have Microsoft 7 on any of our computers.  They called 3 times.  It was obviously a call center out of India because I could hear other sales people in the background saying the exact same thing to other poor victims.  Honestly!
