Said they were IRS and filing suit against us

They left a recorded voicemail stating they were with the IRS and filing legal action against me and to call them back ASAP.

I got the same call, back to back

They left an automated voice message saying they were from the IRS trying to reach me.  I called them back and the guy with a heavy Indian accent answers "Internal Revenue Services."  I asked him why I was called and if it was a scam.  He instantly hung up.  I called back, got the same guy and asked why he hung up.  He claimed he was not the same person.  I asked him since when does the IRS answer their phones personally like that, and since when are they located in Queens, New York, to which he had no answer.  I asked for his operating service number and identification for the IRS and he said he didn't have any.  I asked if many people fall for this scam and he said yes.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE PEOPLE.

I got a call from this number twice today.  I called back and I too got a person with a heavy Indian accent.  Asked whom he was with as I could tell it was some sort of call center and he told me the IRS.  I asked him why are you calling me and he told me something was wrong with my W2 but didn't have enough information and would need my name, address & DOB. Um if there is something wrong with my W2, then you would have my basic information!!  I told him I would get in touch with the IRS myself and please stop calling me.
