I got a phone call from a middle eastern person today claiming that there was someone who was going to be filing a criminal law suit against me for fraud due to an old debt.  They almost convinced me because they had ALOT of my information. However when Steve Knox called me back from this number claiming that they could help me out but how much could I pay I got really suspicious. Then when I pushed him for information about their company and said I needed a Validated letter sent to me confirming this so called debt he said he would have someone from my local police department call me to confirm. He then got mad at me and hung up. About 30 minutes later I got a call that appeared to be from our county sheriffs office only the guy didn't pronounce the town name right and he had a middle eastern accent......I live in the south in a small town, I know for a FACT there is no policeman that is Indian or Middle Eastern on that police force. So I promptly called him out on it and hung up. I then called the police department and confirmed that the Police officer by the name he gave was indeed a white male and reported the phone calls. I've now gotten several other harassing phone calls from various other numbers and so has my mom. Unfortunately there's not a lot that can be done according to the police officer I spoke with.

There's something you can do, though, that's if you can completely ignore calls. No kind of answer from your number, you can get these clowns tired of calling you.
