Caller ID says New York, called an hour ago left no voicemail. Usual BS call. I don't bother answering the phone anymore.

I've changed my answering machine message to sound as if I've answered the phone on the 2nd ring, saying "Hello .... Yes?" to see if I can get the sources of calls like these to at least identify themselves to some degree, but they don't. They just remain silent on the other end of the line. I don't get it. Who wastes their time making phone calls for no communication?

Scam about credit cards, Indian sounding guy claiming to be from Verizon and wants to give you a gift card for giving him all your information, this is a scam, this is not verizon
