got a call from this number, but caller left no message

Received this call and left an automated message saying I needed to call them back because someone was pressing charges against me. This is the message: “Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before the magistrate judge or exempt jury for a federal criminal offense so before this matter goes to Federal claims court house or before you get arrested kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible the number to reach us is 346-867-0989 let me repeat the number 346-867-0989 hope to hear from you soon before the charges are pressed against you thank you…”

I received the same message as above. It's a computer recording. It claims that you should call "before criminal charges are pressed". As an attorney for 20 years, I can tell you this is completely bogus. If there is enough evidence to support criminal charges, they will ALWAYS be filed FIRST and then the government prosecutor will reach out to negotiate a plea bargain SECOND, for the simple purpose of establishing leverage. If someone claims that you can avoid criminal charges by contacting them FIRST, and paying money FIRST, then it is a scam.
