Claims to be from a "Cancer Fund Raising Organization" but does not provide name of organization (huge red flag) & as I explained we have an unlisted number, she went into a spiel about the "government and the do not call list" (obviously reading from a script) when I explained again, "No ma'am, my husband has had an unlisted number since the 37+ years he's been in law enforcement so I do not know where you got our number from (we do not include it on anything) especially since we've not participated in any fund raisers, especially a cancer fundraiser!" She then hung up without a "goodbye" or "thank you, sorry to disturb, will remove your number". These sharks are targeting the elderly, which my husband is INDEED in this group (luckily I'm not and aware of these scams) so they prey on them (55 and older).
