Caller ID shows "Compucredit"

The call is generated by a computer dialer with a message to hold when you answer the phone.

After you hold a minute or so, a person comes on and asks for a particular person who they believe is living in the house.

If the person no longer lives in the house, the caller will ask for a number to reach them at. If you don't know the number, they will ask you to leave a message for the person they are trying to reach, to call them back at 888-704-7482, when that person calls you next.

This number, 6775, appears on our machine along with 6676 and 6674 - all show up as "Comp U Credit" on caller ID - I don't answer and they NEVER leave a message - only shows that they are a dishonest company!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get about 3 calls a day from this number. They do not leave a message, so I do not know the meaning of this call.

I got a call on my cell phone and I was in traffic.  I thought it might be important, but it turns out it was a scammer.  I almost had an accident because I almost stopped and the gal behind almost hit my SUV!
