World Wide Media. From http://www.emeraldcoastrealtors.com/scam-aler ... g/#.U7678_Uo4kI
Realtors® are reporting receiving phone solicitation calls from a company called: World Wide Media (www.wwworldwidemedia.com). They claim to “secure” prime Google ad locations on search pages for specific local towns/zips so that person will come up at the top of the search page as a “preferred Google ad.” They also claim to be a Google certified advertiser and say they’ve been in business for over 8 years.
Their “package” is a $14.99 intro offer for 3 months & waiving an approximate $80 set up fee. They require a credit card to start the service.
If you receive a call like this, please do as much research as possible before agreeing to sign up. Realtors® who reported the incident found the following: those who posted online reviews said it was VERY difficult to get charges reversed and the service cancelled. The company gave the “run-around” or was totally unresponsive except to continue billing each month to the credit card. In one review, the person even had to cancel their card and get a new one.
