Someone called our house phone just a few minutes ago claiming to be a cousin. It wasn't this number but instead: 331-807-7091. They were looking for my mom and knew both her first and last name. They said they were relatives on her side of the family, but wanted me to guess their name trying to make me feel bad that I had forgotten my "cousin." It was suspicious because 1) my cousins wouldn't play the guessing game for as long as this guy did 2) he spoke with a Mexican accent, and my family isn't from Mexico 3) my cousins refer to my mom by a different name, not the one they used. They finally gave me a name and I do have a family member by that name and I started speaking in English asking why he didn't tell me who he was at first. They completely didn't understand what I was saying and hung up. So annoying and scary. This is why I don't answer the house phone.

Harassing my family. The know the names of the homeowners and they never answered my question on who they were. They hanged up on me.

Apparently they are using a new number. This man just called and called my mother by her name. When she asked who it was he said her nephew from Mexico. My mom doesn't have any nephews in Mexico but pretended she did to see what this guy wanted and how much he knew about our family. He stated he was coming to visit us but proceeded to ask where we live. When she asked who all was coming with him and if he wanted to speak to my father he hung up quickly. He called back but my mom told him she didn't have any nephews in Mexico and had already read about the scam they are trying to pull on the internet. He hasn't called back. Be careful this guy asks a LOT of questions that a real family member would already know. Feed him false information as previously stated. People these days!!!
