I received a call from Kimberly from Sentry letting me know my name was drawn from a raffle at the Bridal Expo - I had signed up online for tickets, but I never attended due to schedule conflicts.
Kimberly told me that I had won a free 2 nights, 3 days trip for me and my fiance to anywhere in the continental U.S. and that airfare and hotel is included. I would have 1 year to redeem this travel voucher. She said there are no strings attached, no purchase necessary but it seems too good to be true.
She then went on to say my fiance and I would need to attend an hour meeting, where we would get information on the company (what for?) Seeing that there is no official website for the company, that already has me skeptical.
Kimberly then went on to ask when my fiance and I could attend the meeting, letting me know weekday and weekend availability. Considering they are in Lombard, I told her week evenings would not be possible for us, and only Saturdays would work. She wanted us to come in this Saturday, but we are going out of town and she said typically we only have a week to hold this prize but her supervisor "extended" our time frame to next Saturday.
I also mentioned that I have a 9 month old daughter, and she told me since they don't have child care services, I wouldn't be able to bring her... um WHAT? If its just an overview on the company, why can't I bring my daughter? Her response: Insurance purposes. That makes no sense!
I googled Sentry and came to this website, and saw that the same story is occurring with the number 630-474-4677.
The address she gave me is 1919 S Highland Ave, Building B. Suite 210, Lombard, IL 60148. She said I would need to provide a code to the receptionist so she would know I am collecting the raffle prize. The code is CPI, which is what others have been told as well apparently.
Nowadays, if there is no company website, and only bad reviews - it pretty much equals up to a scam!
