Here in Europe there is a new scam that the lazy Africans have thought up.
They call your cellphone and hang up before you have a chance to answer it. They do this with the hopes that you will call back to find out who called you.
If you are in a meeting and see a missed call, you might call to see who called you.
Especially if it looks like a country or city code that might be feasible, or if you are an international sales or marketing person.
This number: +331 45265382 called me today.
Fortunately, the local press reported on this scam, when you call back, they hit you with a HUGE bill - hundreds of dollars.
There was a similar scam some ten years ago that came out of Romania that linked you to a corrupt ISP and then people got HUGE phone bills.
Nothing but scams ever comes out of Africa.
