deceptively soliciting

I just got a call from "Rose," wanting to invite me to a community event.  Very glad to have hit your site.  With this practice, don't think I will be supporting the MDA.

My caller's name was Brenda.  What a joke that they have to stoop this low to get people to donate, participate, etc.  They called me at work!!   My vote is with Joe, no donations here.  They have to much money to waste to make the unecessary telemarkting calls.

I have been getting calls from "Leslie" at work.  I have call screening on my extension.  She has called several times now.

Sometimes she will use a person's name out front- "Hey it's Leslie!  __________ told me to call you!"

Other times, she just tries to sound like someone I should know- "Hi, it's Leslie!"

I did not find any information on the Better Business Bureau web site when I searched on that number, however a reverse telephone lookup ( http://anywho.com/rl ) provided the following information:
