Called my step-mother asking for personal info on a previous acquaintance of mine. Clearly just data mined my childhood phone number and residency information from like 13 years ago. Refused to properly identify herself, her business, or the nature of the call; just kept repeating she was calling about "mediations and distributions." When I called her again she tried to get my personal info, and said she was with Finalization Department 217 looking into a pending warrant on my acquaintance. That's when I knew it was BS. I called back a second time to tell her that her number showed as a scam on Google, and if she couldn't ID herself or her company I was going to report her to the FTC. Then she got mad and tried again to get my personal info, then she just hung up.
She said her name but it was mumbled, and I couldn't catch it. Started with an M. Likely not real.
