The agent called stating he was calling about my ohio edison bill. He was going to protect my bill from future increases for three years all he needed was a copy of my bill and I  declined. He asked what do you mean you decline we need to get this done so I hung up on him.

They don't say anything they call almost daily and never say a word it's frustrating!

Look into getting a call blocker or see if your carrier offers call blocking.  If you are answering or the calls are going to voice mail, the calls will continue and maybe increase.  Some scammers share your "good" number with their scammer buddies and you will get more and more new calls.  Treat unknown numbers with healthy suspicion.

NOT answering, NOT calling back and getting a call blocker is generally the way to go.  After 4-6 weeks, the number of calls will drop.

Have rec'd a phone call from this number a few times within the last month, and not recognizing the number, have not answered. Today, however, I decided to. When I first answered the call, there was no response. Then, after saying hello in a deliberate fashion a couple of times, I could hear the other end kick in, with sounds of voices in the background, suggesting to me it was from a call center, or something comparable. The man's voice on the other end said "Hello?", and I responded with hello, again. He said "Mr. Raney?" and I said, "Nope!", and then he hung up.
