Recorded message which began with "this is not a sales call" which in my experience almost certainly means it is.  Then the recording stated that a friend or neighbor had referred me and I was eligible to receive a free wireless security system.  At that point I hung up because it was obviously either a sales call or a scam, because all of my friends and neighbors know better than to give my number to some random company.
