The parent company website is www.accountcontrol.com - other sites list them as very agressive dept collection agency and particularly student loans. There are also several complaints they call about people you know, people on your street etc etc. While it may be true dept collectors can avoid DoNotCall, further complaints say they also pretend to be govt agencies, friends, etc etc. Sounds illegal if that is true. Since I have excellent credit, no dept problems (not even carrying dept on credit card) and never had a student loan then it makes no sense. My advice - get /use call blocking and block them. If it is that important they can send a specific letter it in the mail....Oh but that would be in writing and so a legal record. Are we seeing a problem here?
