Calls and states I was listed as a reference for a person I have never heard of.  They then proceeded to fish to verify my home address and maiden name.  I hung up, but this person obviosly knows who I am.  Received a call like this a few months back stating I as a reference for some other person I did not know.

A woman named Tamara called and asked for Mr.Lonke ( Lonke was my maiden name)  when my husband said no she asked for me by first name only.  When she go me on the phone she said I was listed as a reference for a person that I had never heard of before.  She started fighting with me and telling me I knew how to get ahold of this person.  Then she started asking about other people and asking if I knew how to get ahold of them because they were supposedly references as well. I had the distinct feeling that she was just fishing for info from me and trying to keep me on the phone.  I finally just hung up on her. A few months back I received a call like this about some other person I have never heard of.  There were several complaints listed about that number, so I am assuming that whoever is doing the calling has changed their number routing. I don't know what this is about but it is strating to creep me out a bit!  Whoever it is has my valid address, phone number, maiden name , married name, etc.  and claims that I was a reference for someone 10 or 15 years ago.  If that was true it would make me a reference when I was 18 or 19 yrs old.  - I surely was not married and living where I am now then!

I received a call from this number and when I answered, they asked for me by name.  I asked who was calling and they would not say and just said that it was a personal business matter concerning the party mentioned.  I said that I was not that person and they needled me for a few minutes until I finally told them to take my nunmber off of their directory because that person no longer had the phone number.  About 2 weeks later, I got a call from them again and they asked for the same person and I immediately told them to remove my number and they hung up on me.

Got a call today from this number - Didn't pick up. They left a 2 second silent message. I have had a few very suspicious calls the last couple of days, I can only assume my number has gotten into some dirtbag grifter database. Had one call that was trying to get me to give personal information, and one supposedly from Comcast trying to get credit card info. I will be gathering info as I can and will post here.

Its a Texas number, have called three times, didn't leave a message.
