I am an Active Duty soldier and I received an email from a Joe Brown saying that I owe $800.33 for a payday loan with the last four of someone's social security number. I called him and he told me that I had to pay it or I was going to jail. I laughed at him and told him that I am active duty and that I have laws that protect me from obtaining payday loans and it was against the law to get one while i am serving. He insisted that I pay it or go to jail. I'm going to legal and turning him in tomorrow to protect myself. His number is 323-919-8288. Does anyone know anymore information about this guy and why he has some information about me when I have never received a loan? He claims that he is an investigator for Department of Criminal Justice Services.

I just received the same email. What's scary is that it did have my last 4 social numbers. I have received emails like this before and nothing ever came of it. Mine claimed I owed the same $800.33. I think it's highly unlikely we all owe the exact same amount.

Well I just got the exact same email....they do ahve the correst last four of my soical...and the exact same amount owed $800.33 is there a way to report this?  And who do you report it to?

he called me today saying I woe the same exact amount and the same number. He said if i do not pay by today, police are coming to my job. He sounded Indian. Apparently, his real name is Russell Lynn Gullatt. Thats what I found from another website of a man and wife who did research. How can I report this guy!?
