Same information as listed above. Got a call from a Shawn Thomas with a thick Indian accent. He informed me that he was part of the U.S. Government and was distributing approximately $8,000 in grant money. I told him I wasn't eligible/hadn't applied for grant compensation, and he informed me that it was a courtesy on the part of the U.S. government because I was a regular tax payer, etc. Sounded ridiculous. He then verified some basic info with me and told me that I needed to submit a deposit in the amount of about $200 to be eligible for the money. After he gave me his personal information (work ID: SH1010, Government Grant Management Office, Chicago IL, 60601, 773-219-3768), I looked him up and saw it was a scam. After I hung up on him he called me back 3 more times.
