Yet another IRS/Legal Affairs scam "threatening" legal action against "you." Do not fall for it. Do not call it back. Caller ID shows it as a California number, but you know it's a spoofed number since the person on the other end of the call is from India with a HEAVY Hindi accent. Wise up people! Don't be fooled! This is NOT the IRS, and legal action is NOT being taken against you. In order for ANYONE to do anything regarding a court of law against you, they must serve you papers to your home either through a certified letter that you must SIGN FOR, or through a police officer/warrant officer, again, who will come to your door to serve you with papers. A phone call alone means NOTHING!!! These people are just trying to scare you. Even if they have your name, it means NOTHING.

Oh, this guy called himself "Officer Ricky Stevens," and claimed his badge number is 1152. Yeah, right. His English SUCKED, and another way he identified himself as a fraud is by wishing me a "blessed day," at the end of the message. No RIGHTFUL agent of the court or lawyer, or police officer, or FBI, or IRS agent is going to wish you a blessed day. A lying scum fraudster from India, however, will.

Sidenote: This site really needs to add "Fraud" or "Scam" or both to the call type, because "prank call," just doesn't cover this garbage.

Just had the same number call and my husband answered. He asked for me and said he was from Internal Affairs and Dept. Of Treasury (with a HEAVY Hindi accent) and my darling husband told him to go "kiss his A**"quite loudly and hung up..LOL ... Like the previous person stated DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!!!!! If they guess your info right tell them they have it all wrong!!!!

Got the same call. They left a message on voicemail then called back later! US Dept of Treasury, said I have to call back in the morning to speak to the officer. Apparently an officer has been to my house twice, once in November & again in December. Guess what......didnt happen!

Same as many others - someone called sayiing they were James White from the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury calling from CA (when I said it sounded like he was calling from India, he said he was calling from CA - yeah right).  Clearly a fraud.  

They just called our home, and asked to speak to my wife. Same 'US Treasury" story, same name, same badge, same scam... Watch out..
