The caller informed me I was being audited by the IRS, and was being monitored by the federal government. I stopped him before he could continue with his scam and politely asked him to never call again.

IRS scam call. Bad accent and English, to boot. An arrest warrant has been issued against me. Wooo. Maybe I'd be scared if they actually used my name. Or the name of the three previous occupants of this apartment. Who falls for this stuff?

IRS agent called to say he is from IRS and wants to inform me that there is a warrant out for me.  I asked for his ID # which he readily provided as IR15257 and when I asked for his name - he hung up.  What a scam?  Don't be a taken by these idiots!
