still smells just as bad! Same for their scams ... be it phony Microsoft, Symantec or any other of those so called support COLD-calls from you stupid scammers!

http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2012/10/04/ft ... port-call-scam/

"The companies used boiler-room sales techniques, many based in India, to cold call consumers in English speaking companies and convince computer owners that their system was infected and needed to be cleaned.

The scams targeted English-speaking consumers in the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK. In the calls, India-based operators posed as tech support specialists from legitimate firms like McAfee, Symantec and Dell and claimed to be calling to inform the customer of an infection on their computer."

"Yes, the 'tech-support' cold-calling scam has been around for a very long time now; perhaps, more than 7-8 years - I think. They seem to come and go in waves. Most of the time, these scammers would appear to target random home-landline phones, lurking for the elderly and/or not so computer-savvy people. The call is usually made at day-time.

It can be from a person claiming to be from any (bogus) support company (you name it). The attackers in these schemes have nothing but time 'to help' you to install malware, remote desktop applications or anything they feel would make their life easier - to take your money!

Some of these scams seem to be run from locations in India (but most likely not all of them) but when they call your phone, they'll most likely have an area code in your country. They also take advantage of VOIP services to keep their costs low and profits high.

….

FYI, the following are two examples of this scam 'modus operandi' (courtesy of Troy Hunt's Blog and Symantec - audio/video including confronting the scammers) and of what was coming next... 'if' you had allowed them...

"The FTC says scammers rely on two different schemes: Either they cold call you, claiming to be major companies like or they lure you into calling fake online tech support listings ...

In both instances, the scammers try to convince you to give them remote access to your computer. Once in, they try to sell you repair services, or scare you by telling you it's riddled with viruses and malware.

"But there's nothing wrong with your computer, and they're not going to fix it for you," said Kevin Haley with Symantec.

...

Experts say don't use online search results to find a company's tech support number. Instead, go to the company's website directly and look for that contact information.

Also, never give control of your computer to a third party that you are unsure about."

Real customer support (tech related and others) do NOT cold call, they ate always inbound which means the customer calls them! You idiots must have what can be called "through the looking glass" syndrome or something like that ... all your stupid scams are the opposite of how real businesses work! lol

Can we say busted? We sure as heck can!!!!

Now it's time for you shills to go back to your foul smelling boiler rooms and sit in the corner and pout ... you flunked yet again!!!
