I got a text from "Christy" WTF!! I don't need/want to join dating sites.

Wants you to join a cell dating service. Why on earth would I want to date someone in prison!

I also got a text from "Christy" from this phone number wanting me to join celldatesite.com.  The FCC released an order in Aug, 2004 that reiterated that SMS spam messages to cellphones are illegal under the existing Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Each such unsolicited message received without permission entitles the recipient to take the sender to small claims court and collect a minimum of $1 for each violation. They said this in 2003, and reiterated it in 2004: 'In 2003, we released a Report and Order in which we reaffirmed that the TCPA prohibits any call using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded message to any wireless telephone number. We concluded that this encompasses both voice calls and text calls, including Short Message Service (SMS) text messaging calls, to wireless phone numbers.

Received 3/16/13 9:32 PM spam message: "Hey you! make an account on celldatesite.com its Christy"

Yip got this too. Same number. Same message. March 18 5.59am PST. Bummer.
