Man named Ian called to get money for the Austrailan lottery from my elderly father

The caller wanted to talk to my hearing impaired partner.  I explained he's hearing impaired, and asked for the caller's identity.  They said "I can't reveal that without first talking to your partner, and getting his permission to talk to you."  They called us on a Sunday, so I knew this was not a legitimate business; and this was the cue I needed to tell them to [***] off.  The caller i.d. said "A.I.W.C.", but I couldn't find what organization this represented.

This so called Australian "lottery" scammed my father-in-law out of nearly $1500.00.  Fortunately we were able to get a provisional credit to his checking account.  It is impossible to contact them via their toll-free number listed below.
