private investigator calls you, probably to obtain information about you or one of your friends.  Usually she pretends to be a prospective employer and trying to get "references" about your friend.

This Morning the same number called me asking about a reference for a job for my ex. She had my mothers name and number saying she was calling from coastal construction company.  What is this a scam?

I got a call from this number a couple of days ago. They were Trying to get info from me about someone. A family member of mine who is in Law Enforcement looked into it for me. I was informed this morning that there is an ongoing investigation regaurding this phone number. ** FRAUD ** Be Cautious on what info you give to people!
