Most likely your Facebook fiend is not even in the US. The strongarm tactic is well used by Asian & African scammers.

these people are going on facebook and are making themselves out to be one of your friends on facebook. it is a scam. they will threaten you to give money. they will tell you that you have won a prize and you need to send $1200 or they will come to your house. they need to be stopped
