Texting me and keeps threatening to come kill me

texted me to sell me some birds (i have an ad on craigslist) but i can see its a CA area code so i assume its a scam. because i cant imagine he'd think id drive to CA to pick up birds. i did not contact him back. i have a feeling if you dont engage with him he will leave you alone, havent heard anything else from him. ive seen multiple complaints about this number threatening people to kill or kidnap them if they dont send him money etc.. but its not like he knows where you are. so just dont talk to him, and dont put your number on craigslist if youre really worried about it.
