This caller left a message on my machine. He claimed to be Officer Ricky Stevens from the Department of Legal Affairs. Said to call him back to avoid a "legal mess." He had a thick accent and was obviously reading a script! THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! It has been going around for years. The callers also use other names, and phone numbers, but it is a the same scam. Please don't fall for it!
He called us three times and left a message once. We didn't return the calls, and reported the number to the IRS fraud department and the FTC.

Caller stated he with Richard Walker from the Department of Legal Affairs at the US Treasury.

His message was to notify me of impending legal action against me.  If I am too busy to call back, I need to get an attorney...

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

i just got a call  claimed that call was from the us treasure. that will arest  roberto.
