I keep getting a call from this number that tells me I must call them back.  They are now using a 702 area code as well as a unknown call number when it comes through.   I don't intend to call them unless I know what it is for.

this phone number is a group of individuals that use a fake "case file #" to intimidate you to send them money to resolve a bogus court case.  in my incident they gave me a court case of 22446-IL-14.  which is purely made up.  they'll ask for a relative, for me it was my brother.  they'll say "they must get a hold of them to resolve the issue".  in one case they actually said that I was going to be issued a subpoena if I did not call, I told them to SEND IT!!  of course, I never did receive a subpoena.   some how they got all the phone numbers on our account, mine, my wife's, our two children, and house phone number.   my wife was able to actually get the guys name Mathew Bennett (of course it's probably a fake name).  they'll insist that they're "real" but understand that if it where real, and the courts where actually "after you" they wouldn't use telemarketers.  what ever you do, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR "REAL" INFORMATION!!

I just got the same call. Its a scam.

It's a SCAM.  My mom just got a call from an unknown number and they told her to call back to this number.  When she did, they were trying to get her to send them money for a bill she supposedly owed.  Funny how her "debt" owed was $2800 and they kept asking her if she could borrow money from someone to send them even $50 to avoid having to go to court.  Finally my mom got pissed off and told them to send her the certified court papers so she could go to court and they hung up.  Good thing my mom isn't stupid, just broke, lol.  Supposedly the guy's name was " Spencer Bell".

I just got a call at my place of employment from someone named Bill Spencer, using the same #, and when I asked him why he was calling he stated, "Well didn't you get the documents in the mail?  Hold on a minute while I pull your file".  He never did come back on the line so I hung up.
