The person left a voice mail. It sounded like an African American woman, possibly Jamaican or Bahamian accent. She said there was a legal case against me and that they had my physical address and I would be arrested at my home or work. Then she said, "see you in court." and hung up. It sounded like a recording though. My husband has called back several times, giving different names each time. 3 different people have answered the phone when he's called and they keep telling him things like "the police are on their way" and "I'm contacting the detective right away." When questioned about what this is about, they hang up. Once my husband called and asked them how much money they needed to keep me out of trouble. The woman, who stated her name was Jennifer, told him they would take a credit card number, but would not accept a check.. no amount was ever discussed.
Less than an hour ago, I called them back myself. The person that answered the phone said his name was "john Marsh" Attorney. I asked him to explain what I was going to be arrested for and not to hang up because a police officer was sitting next to me. He called me a [***] and hung up. I have reported this to the FBI.
