Phone text from target

this number sent a text to my cell about my entry winning a $1000.00 Target Gift Card

This is a [***] text. They send it as a "you won"notification and then its an offer for a free card. Thieving low life dog testicle lickers!

This is a text message (scam) supposedly from Target that I won a $1000.00 gift card;  HOW?  I don't have a Target card, I never entered any contest, and I most certainly never gave them my cell phone #.  I always use my land/home number when I am asked on all contests, mail orders etc.  
My complaint about this text was it's timing:
12:09 AM.......JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT!!!!!
Are they crazy????  First and foremost, I have a son who is out of state at college and a late night call/text scares me to death!  Secondly, I get up at 5:45am every day for work!

I am going to contact Target and complain ~ yes, I know it isn't them sending the text, but someone is using their name to perpetuate a scam and they should be concerned.  Plus they have the money and the legal team to investigate it.
